Shri Gulabkunvarba Ayurved Mahavidyalaya runs a hospital with 105 beds. The university runs postgraduate education and training center. The hospital attached with the postgraduate center provides OPD services has 150 beds. The patients from saurashtra and kutch advantage of the hospital.

(c) M. P. Shah Medical college :

The M. P. shah medical college started in 1955 with the help of donation from M. P. Shah who hails from Jamnagar district. Since 1955, The college gives admission to 175 under graduate students every year. It also provides academic courses for 103 students in nearly 23 different branches of specialization. Govt., of Gujarat has open new medical college in Rajkot and Bhavnagar but M.P. Shah Medical college, Jamnagar has great advantage because of its affiliation to Guru Govindsinh Hospital, the well-known hospital of Saurashtra region.

(d) Gujarat Arurved University :

Gujarat Arurved University, the only Ayurved University of the country, is located in Jamnagar. It was established in 1966. The total area of the campus is 37 acres. The University has acquired 35 acres of land for developing botanical graden near Sasoi dam located at a distance of 24 Km. for Jamnagar. Nine colleges are affiliated with the University.

Shri Gulabkunvarba Ayurved Mahavidyalaya managed by the university was established in 1946. It is proposed to develop this as a model college. It admits 34 students every year. There are 40 Posts of faculty members and 165 students.

The institute for post-Graduate Teaching & Research, Jamnagar is a pioneer institute in the field of post-Graduate education in Ayurveda. The institute imparts training to M.D. (Ayu) student in 13 specialies of Arurveda under 7 teaching departments assisted by 6 laboratories. The other major activities of the institute is to facilitates the researth work leading to ph. D. degree in Ayurveda. The institute is also a W.H.O. collaborative center, imparting training of Ayurveda to foreigner scholars. The Institute's hospitals are accommodated in O.P.D. building, I.P.D. building (ward block) and panchakarma hospital building. The P.G. hospital provides the opportunity of clinical research, post-graduate teaching along with high leveled health-care to the patients of the region as well as to the referred patients from remote places of the country. These P.G. research hospitals provide drugs, diet and other diagnostic servises free of cost to the indoor patients and free drugs to the O.P.D. patients.
